Determinants of Participation and Satisfactions of In-Service Education According to Job Characteristics of Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the overall status of participation and satisfaction in implementing of in-service education according to job characteristics of vocational rehabilitation specialists and to examine the factors affecting participation and satisfaction of in-service education to make improvements the educational operation in the future. The data collected in this study was analyzed 171 numbers. Analysis methods were descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, vocational rehabilitation specialists to participated in average in-service education for 14 hours, the factors affecting participation and satisfaction of in-service education were different. In other words, the career, qualification grade, position and institutional characteristics of vocational rehabilitation specialists were found to be factors affecting participation in-service education and age, position, and gender were the factors affecting the satisfaction level of the in-service education. These results show that demographic characteristics should be taken into consideration when developing a program of in-service education according to job characteristics of vocational rehabilitation specialists. Therefore, based on the results of the study, this study suggests practical and institutional implications for the development of vocational rehabilitation in-service education program in the future.
